Development Corp, is taking tiny homes to the limit and doing everything they can to end homelessness in North Carolina. Please join us in welcoming them to the team!
One thing we love about Next Step is the way they structure their services to work with the systems homeless people already have. If you didn’t know, homeless people have systems, communities they rely on, friendships, and personal effects, and sometimes those existing support pieces are ignored by well-meaning aid groups.
Next Step Development Corp’s goal is to build tiny home communities that are integrated into thriving areas. They follow a housing-first model and will provide support services like job training, mental health assistance, access to healthcare, and basic food staples. Most importantly, they will build on the community the unhoused have already created for themselves.
