On June 20, 2018, the City of Florence began permitting Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in every residential zone district. One frequently asked question is:
Can I use a tiny home on a trailer as an ADU?
Yes, if the structure is made permanent through the payment of Systems Development Charges and it meets all the requirements of Building and Fire Codes. ADUs built on an axled frame may be considered a permanent dwelling through the removal of tongue and running gear, addition of blocking and skirting.
